Podgorica Airport – Podgorica
Arrival at Podgorica Airport and transfer to our hotel in the city. Welcome dinner and overnight in Podgorica. Tour of Macedonia and Bulgaria

Podgorica – Skadar Lake – Budva
This morning we transfer towards Skadar Lake, the biggest lake in the region. It is also one of Europe’s largest bird reserves is surrounded by majestic mountains and lush greenery. Its unspoiled natural beauty with timeless villages along the shore, island monasteries, clear water and lovely meadow of water lilies. Visit the panoramic surroundings and enjoy a boat tour in the lake for 1 hour.
In the early afternoon we reach the old town of Budva, where we will spend the night
The Old town of Budva is a unique architectural and urban town and one of the oldest centers in the Adriatic with more than 2.500 years of history. Dinner by the seaside and overnight in Budva.

Budva – The baroque town of Perast and boat ride 1 hrs – Exploring the UNESCO old town of Kotor – Budva

This morning we visit Perast the most picturesque baroque town on the whole Adriatic coast, after the drive through the panoramic road overlooking the Boka Bay
Arriving in Perast, we take a boat tour and reach the artificial island, built in the 15th century. We are going to visit the Church of Our Lady of the Rock (sanctuary of sailors of the old times), and the museum built on the island. The Church is a shrine and a treasury which houses the biggest world collection of the silver votive tablets.
We then make a comfort stop at the UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Kotor. The old port of Kotor is surrounded by fortifications built during the Venetian period, and is a picturesque Mediterranean landscape.

Budva – Shkodra – Tirana
Today we transfer to Albania, Along the way we stop and visit the town of Shkodra, in border between Albania and Montenegro. Shkodra is one of the oldest cities in the Balkans and was once a capital of the Illyrian state. We visit its old bazaar, before reaching Rozafa castle for spectacular views of the city, lake and the surrounding mountains – from the top of the hill. Afternoon walking tour of Tirana city center, passing by Skanderberg Square, the Clock Tower, Et´hem Bey Mosque, the bazaar, the ruins of Tirana castle and the quarter of ex blloku. Dinner and overnight in Tirana.

Tirana – Berat UNESCO – Tirana
Today we proceed towards the UNESCO town – Berat, the pride of Albanian antiquity and architecture. Berat forms a wonderful combination of eastern and western cultures, costumes and traditions. The architecture of the old houses, with large windows that overlook the town, is the first think that impresses the visitors. First stop: the Citadel. It overlooks the river and the modern city as well as the old Christian quarter across the river. The citadel can be reached by a steep road and is still inhabited. Inside the citadel, we visit The iconographic museum Onufri, with painting from the 16 the century, from the famous orthodox painter of that period, Onufri. Free time for lunch in the old town. Tirana – Ohrid UNESCO (Macedonia)

This morning we drive towards Ohrid where we visit the old town located in the shores of lake Ohrid. Visit the Cathedral of St. Sofia built between the 11th and 14th century, which was the seat of the Archbishop. Also we walk by the church of St. Clement, a classic Orthodox Byzantine church which demonstrates the link between Byzantine and Italian Renaissance art, and the Icon Gallery. Ohrid – National Park of Mavrovo – The Monastery of Saint Jovan Bigorski – The painted mosque in Tetovo – Skopje (3.5 hrs)
This morning we return towards Skopje. First we pass through the panoramic mountain road in Mavrovo National Park.While in Mavrovo we visit the Monastery of Saint Jovan Bigorski. Hidden away on the side of a mountain just off the main road between Debar and Gostivar and dedicated to John the Baptist, it’s said that the history of this masterpiece of a monastery dates back 1,000 years. Destroyed by the Ottomans in the 16th century and rebuilt in 1743 with further expansions taking place the following century, the complex was seriously damaged by fire in 2009 and much of what you see today is a modern imitation. Thankfully however most of the important artefacts, including some outstanding gold-encrusted icons, one of which is said to date from the 11th century, and the church’s gorgeous carved wooden iconostasis, survive. Further, we stop at the small town of Tetovo for a short sightseeing and entrance to the mosque, called Šarena Džamija- meaning the decorated mosque. Afternoon arrival in Skopje and overnight.

Skopje City Tour and Boat Ride in Matka Valley
After breakfast we depart toward Matka Valley, A gorge in which a rich complex of mediaeval building survives, including churches, monasteries and remnants of a fortress (the mediaeval town of Matka). There are dozens of caves and large number of endemic plants and animals. Here we have the opportunity to enjoy a boat trip in the lake, and further free time for lunch. Return to Skopje for the guided tour. We visit the city center, the old bazaar in the Otoman styles, The bridges, Kale Fortress, and the memorial house of Mother Tereza, Overnight in Skopje. Skopje – Rila Monastery *UNESCO – Sofia (Bulgaria)
In the morning transfer to Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria. Along the way we visit the Monastery of Rila.
Rila Monastery was founded in the 10th century by St John of Rila, a hermit canonized by the Orthodox Church. His ascetic dwelling and tomb became a holy site and were transformed into a monastic complex which played an important role in the spiritual and social life of medieval Bulgaria. Destroyed by fire at the beginning of the 19th century, the complex was rebuilt between 1834 and 1862. A characteristic example of the Bulgarian Renaissance (18th–19th centuries), the monument symbolizes the awareness of a Slavic cultural identity following centuries of occupation.
In the afternoon, we spend time in Sofia. Dinner and overnight in Sofia.

Full day in Sofia
In the morning we take a panoramic tour of the city, stroll through its old town to see the highlights of the wide cultural heritage. We will see the Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Cathedral, Sveta Nedelia square, the Roman roundabout of Saint George that dates from the 4th century and is one of the oldest in the Balkans, the churches of Saint Nicholas, Saint Petka and Santa Sofa, the National Gallery of Art (former residence of the tsars) or the Ivan Vazov theater.
