Tour Details

Montenegro photo tour is a 9 days’ program for professional or amateur photographers, who like to discover this authentic country. During the tour we will take photos of landscapes, birds, local people, architecture, urban sites, and traditional foods; while learning more about Montenegro history and culture.

Arrival in Montenegro – Kotor *UNESCO
Arrive at Podgorica airport, Montenegro, or at Dubrovnik Airport (Croatia)
transfer to our hotel in Kotor where we will spend the overnight.

Photo shooting in Lovcen National Park
Today we photoshoot in the spectacular mountain landscapes of Lovcen National Park and visit traditional Montenegrin villages
This road to Lovcen, is known as the serpentine, because it has 25 strong curves through the mountains, that connect the coast and mountain top. With each curve, the view is more fabulous, and after last one we will make a stop for photo shooting the beautiful Bay of Kotor.
Further we continue photo shooting in the top of the mountain where is located the mausoleum of Peter II Petrovic Njegos, the ruler of Montenegro during the beginning of 19th century. This site can be reached after climbing 461 stairs.
Further we learn more about rural life in Montenegro, while visiting the village of Njegusi. The village is known for its well-preserved traditional folk architecture but also for the production of the delicious Njegusi cheese and hams. We stop for degustations.
Afternoon return to our hotel in Kotor.

Photo shooting in Kotor, Orahovac village, Perast and Boka Bay
Full day in Boka Bay, one of the deepest and longest bays at the Adriatic Sea, and one of the best landscapes in Montenegro. It is A narrow and winding road, combined with photogenic medieval towns, numerous citadels and island monasteries, that offer limitless stops for photo shooting.
We explore Old Town Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with its narrow stoney streets, spectacular churches and Venetian-inspired architecture. If you are feeling adventurous we can climb the 9th century city walls for scenic views from the top of Kotor Fortress (1355 steps, in 260 meters height).

Further we visit the ancient town of Perast, Along the way we stop in Orahovac, a small village seat deep inside the Bay of Kotor, a bit isolated and blessed with fresh spring water
Perast is a picturesque town fit for a postcard. This medieval town boasts nine defensive towers, each built by the Venetians, during the XV centuries, 16 palaces and 17 churches, built vertically against the mountainside, as well as two islets positioned in the Gulf, one of them being Our Lady of the Rocks. Photo shooting in Perast old town. Later we take a boat trip, towards the islands. The trip will permit us to take photos of Perast from another perspective, before reaching Our Lady of the Rocks. The small domed church is perched upon the island alongside a small tower, and the interior is decorated with church icons. We spend the afternoon in Perast where we can enjoy the sunset. Kotor – Piva Lake – Zabljak, Durmitor National Park
Today we transfer to Durmitor National Park, one of the most welknown parks in motnenegro
Along the way we stop for a photo cruise through Piva Lake; An unforgettable adventure in the Piva river canyon, visiting one of the most beautiful parts of northern Montenegro nature scenery,
For more than 2 hours ride we will enjoy the lake landscapes,
Later we reach the mountain resort of Zabljak, where we spend the afternoon photo shooting in the village, or relaxing the in hotels wellness center. Overnight in Zabljak. Montenegro Photo Tour

Full day in Durmitor National Park, where we can visit and photo shoot in some of the best spots, such as the Nevidio Canyon, with its narrow and dramatic gorges; and Black Lake, the largest of 18 glacial lakes in The Durmitor National Park. Overnight in Zabljak. Montenegro Photo Tour

Durmitor – Biogradska Gora National Park – Lake Biograd – Podgorica
Another day photo shooting and exploring Montenegro National Parks.
We reach Biogradska Gora National Park, one of the last three stands of old-growth woodlands in Europe
We photoshoot at the beautiful Lake Biograd and its dense, centuries-old, virgin forest.
In the afternoon we reach the capital city of Montenegro, Podgorica; where we will spend a free evening and overnight. Montenegro Photo Tour

Podgorica – Lake Skadar Boat tour – Stari Bar – Budva
Early morning we drive to Lake Skadar, the biggest lake in the region, where we take photos of the sunrise.
We take a scenic drive into the mountains above the lake, with different stops in vie points.
We take a boat tour in the lake, where we can continue photo shooting and bird watching.
In the afternoon we visit the old town of Stari Bar, another typical town of Montenegro, with its fortress and narrow stony streets.
Dinner by the seaside in the coastal town of Budva, and overnight. Montenegro Photo Tour

Full day in Budva and Sveti Stefan Island
In the morning we drive through the panoramic road that will lead us to Sveti Stefan Island. We stop for photoshooting at the view point. Further we spend time in the Old town of Budva, a unique architectural and urban town and one of the oldest centers in the Adriatic with more than 2.500 years of history. We walk through the streets of the old town, stop by the seaside and port of yachts, and climb through the castle where we can have some nice photos of the red roofs of the old houses, from the top of the castle.
Farewell dinner in a nice restaurant by the seaside and overnight in Budva. Montenegro Photo Tour

Budva – return Flight
Breakfast at the hotel. In the early morning you can photo shoot the sunrise by the seaside. Transfer to the airport for the return flight (From Podgorica Airport or from Dubrovnik Airport). Montenegro Photo Tour
