Podgorica – Kolašin Biogradska Gora National Park – Žabljak Durmitor National Park
After breakfast in the hotel we drive to Kolašin. All the way up there we are accompanied by the Morača river whose gorges are a show themselves. We drive a little further to reach the Biogradska Gora National Park. Here we go on a circular hike to Lake Biogradsko. The path goes through the beautiful and very interesting original forest of Biogradska Gora, around Lake Biogradsko Jezero. Biogradska’s original forest is a wonder! After we have enjoyed the nature here we return in the bus and drive towards Žabljak for accommodation. Montenegro Hiking tour

Žabljak – Hike through the bear circle – Žabljak
This morning after breakfast we take a path that leads past the Black Lake and then into the mountains and through a changing landscape of fir forests and low alpine vegetation to the snow-capped peaks. Our destination is the Previja Pass (2145 m), which is located below the heights of the Medjed (Bear) peak (2287 m). There we enjoy a spectacular lunch with a view of the majestic views below us. While bears and wolves are seldom seen in the park, there is a chance to spot chamois, foxes, weasels and badgers on the high mountain slopes. The area is also rich in birds. 130 different species are registered here, including gray mountain eagles, bald vultures and crossbills. From spring to midsummer, the landscape becomes a blaze of color. The alpine meadows are covered with a rainbow of gentians, anemones, violets, soldanelles and wild strawberries. After our lunch break, we walk back to the Black Lake and follow a path that leads us through a shepherd’s camp in Lokvice before returning to the hotel. Montenegro Hiking tour

Budva – Cetinje – Lovcen National Park – Njeguši – Budva
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive towards Cetinje, the former capital of Montenegro, to visit the National Museum. Then we continue to reach Lovćen National Park. We hike on easy-to-walk old military trails from Ivanova Korita through the lonely Karst Mountains of Lovćen to the Babina Glava viewpoint (1,474 m). On the way we enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the Montenegrin Adriatic coast between Budva and the Bay of Kotor as well as the mountain landscape of Lovćen (Activity: 3 hours, ▲ 250 m ▼ 250 m). Before we leave the mountains, we visit the mausoleum of Prince-Bishop Petar Njegoš of Montenegro. We drive a little further to reach the Njeguši village where you can also taste Njeguški sir and Njeguški pršut (local forms of cheese and ham).

Budva – Skadar Lake National Park – Budva
After a bus ride, we will reach Lake Skadar, the largest lake on the Balkan Peninsula. In the northern foothills of the national park lies the sleepy town of Rijeka Crnojevića with its photogenic stone bridge over the river of the same name. From here we hike on a circular path along narrow mountain paths into the increasingly narrowing river valley. And then come to an impressive karst cave. In the afternoon we also take a boat trip across Lake Skadar before we drive back to the hotel.

Budva – Ulcinj – Budva
In the morning we drive to Velika Plaza and Ada Bojana, south of the city of Ulcinj, two important areas that are also a bird watcher’s paradise. Bordering sand dunes and adjacent grasslands, forests and wetlands, the Velika Plaza is an important breeding area and stopover for migration. In the summer, almost 1% of the European population of the Baillon’s crake, as well as the collared pratincole, stone-curlew and rollers breed here. Then in Ulcinj we do a city tour before we drive back to the hotel. Then we return to the hotel in Budva and enjoy the last afternoon on the Adriatic.
